Repeater
When troubleshooting a Repeater make the following checks first;
x
Repeater has power (120 VAC to power supply and 12 VDC to Repeater)
x
Repeater cables are not loose
x
Repeater antenna cables are not loose
x
Test RTU is able to mesh through repeater to Base RTU. If the test RTU
cannot mesh with a Base RTU, verify that a Test RTU placed near the
Base RTU can mesh with it to isolate whether the problem is with the
Base RTU or Repeater.
Problem Cause Fix
No data is passed
through Repeater
Power problem
Verify 120 VAC to power
supply and 12 VDC to
Repeater.
Antenna problem
Check antenna cables
are tight and antennas
are properly aligned.
Hop pattern problem
Verify both hop patters.
Hop patterns are only
detected during power
up, turn Repeater off
when changing hop
patterns.
Repeater continually
transmitting and receiving
Both radio modules on
Repeater set to same
hop pattern
Set the left radio module
in the Repeater to a
different hop pattern than
the right radio module.
Pivot RTU on FeildBOSS
panel with Voice
Command enabled Disable Voice Command
and set Online Control to
Radio mode.
