Spread Spectrum Installation Guide 

5. Ping Address 

 
Pinging is used to confirm that the Bridge can communicate over the internet.  
This test should return 5 packets transmitted and 5 received.  To begin the test 

enter “www.google.com” when prompted.

 

 

 

 

I. Antennas 

 

There are two types of antennas for use with the FieldNET system.  Directional 
and omni directional.  Antennas 2 and 4 show below are directional and 1 and 3 
are omni directional.  Directional antennas are used when the radio signal is 

being “shot” to a specific location.  Omni dir

ectional antennas are used when
