User Guide

Powering Up the Torchmate 4x00

To power up the Torchmate 4000 Series CNC machine, please follow the instructions below. The complete user guide is available

as an embedded file in the VMD. Use the button with the question mark to access this file.

To power down the Torchmate 4400/4800/4510 CNC machine, please follow the instructions below.

Turn the Accumove power swith to ON. Twist the E-STOP knob 1/4 turn clockwise. This will power the

Accumove and start the computer.

*If a grey WINDOWS screen appears, swipe your finger up on the touchscreen monitor. Enter ‘cncop’ into the

password prompt. Press the arrow.

Press SHUTDOWN.

Once the computer boots up, it will launch the Visual Machine Designer software.

A prompt will display “Turn Off the Accumove Controller before pressing OK”. Press on the E-STOP button to

power down the controller.

On the screen, press DATUM. This will enable the drives. The head will come to the lower left corner of the table

to its ‘HOME’ position. Your machine is now prepared and ready to run.

Press OK. The computer will then power down. The machine is now properly shut down.
