If necessary, use the pressure switch weld-machining-tool (Figure 3005) to make the flange of
the pressure switch and the shims flush with the flange of the pressure-switch-fitting as follows:
(1)
Loosen the set screws and move the two halves of the pressure switch weld-machining-
tool apart.
(2)
Put the two halves of the pressure switch weld-machining-tool around the pressure-switch
and the switch fitting. Tighten the set screws.
(3)
Adjust thumbscrew on the tool until the cutter touches the parts that must be made flush.
(4)
Carefully turn the pressure switch weld-machining-tool until the flanges and shims are
flush.
NOTE :
Do not remove too much material from either of the flanges.
(5)
Loosen the set screws and remove the tool from the fitting.
(6)
Clean the pressure switch fitting weld area on the container with alcohol and clean cloth.
G.
Use a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welder and the straight-fusion-weld procedure. Weld all around
the joint between the pressure-switch flange and the pressure-switch-fitting flange. Make sure
that the depth of the weld is not more than 0,5 mm (0.020 in).
NOTE :
Do not operate the welder at more than 25 amps.
