Make sure that the valves A, B, C, D, E, G and H are closed. Refer to figure 7001 of
ASSEMBLY section.
WARNING :
MAKE SURE ALL CONNECTIONS ARE TIGHT. REMOVE THE FIRE
EXTINGUISHING AGENT IN AN AREA WITH A GOOD AIRFLOW. THE
FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT IS VERY VOLATILE, BUT IS NOT
EASILY FOUND BY ODOR. IT IS ALMOST NON-TOXIC AND IS ABOUT
THE SAME AS OTHER FREONS AND CARBON DIOXIDE THAT CAUSE
INJURY. THE INJURIES ARE USUALLY CAUSED WHEN THE OXYGEN
CONTENT OF THE AIR IN A SMALL AREA IS DECREASED. DO NOT
LET THE FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT TOUCH THE SKIN. IT CAN
CAUSE FROSTBITE OR LOW TEMPERATURE BURNS BECAUSE OF
ITS LOW BOILING POINT.

Connect the charging adapter 71804 to the fill plug. Refer to figure 3001.

Use the lockpin handle to keep the charging adapter in position.
CAUTION . The lock pin handle must be in good condition

Turn the container (230) to point the charging adapter down.
(7)
Slowly turn the fill plug one full turn counterclockwise.
(8)
Open valve 751913 and fully remove all of the contents from the container.
(9)
Close valve 751913 when the container is empty.
(10) Loosen the fill plug with the charging adapter.
(11) Remove the lockpin handle from the charging adapter.
(12) Remove the charging adapter from the fill plug.

Discharge head body, debris screen.

Install the container (230) in a holding fixture with the container necks pointed up. Refer to
figure 3002.

Remove the protection cap 72504
CAUTION :
TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE RETAINER, THE RETAINER TORQUE
ADAPTER MUST BE AGAINST THE RETAINER.

Use head disassembly rod 71068 to remove the discharge head body (40).
(4)
Remove the debris screen (80) from the container outlet.
