Fallback Static IP
The fallback static IP is built using the last four digits of the devices serial number. Route and subnet mask are set appropriately.
Static IP:
192.168.1xx.xx
where
xx.xx
are numbers lifted from the serial number, as shown in the following two
examples.
For serial number :
01
0106
the resulting IP is:
192.168.1
01.06
For serial number:
106
the resulting IP is:
192.168.1
01.06
Route :
192.168.1.1
The default subnet mask is:
255.255.0.0
Summary
The following behaviors apply to the factory state:
1.
MS-E10 device power ups with no Ethernet cable connected.
a.
Maintains the factory shipped state
2.
MS-E10 device power ups with the Ethernet cable connected and DHCP server on the network.
a.
The device obtains an IP address from the DHCP server
b.
Fallback mechanism is disabled
3.
MS-E10 device power ups with Ethernet cable connected and no DHCP server or DHCP fails

IO Points
The MultiSITE E10 device is designed with a mix of IO points: 5 universal inputs, 2 analog outputs and 3 digital outputs.

Usage details
The EdgeIo driver provides proxy points to access these points.
To use the EdgeIo driver add an EdgeIoNetwork object to the station config folder (already installed in the default station). The
EdgeIoNetwork contains a Local device with a Points folder. Invoking the Edge Io Point Manager Discover function shows a list
of available points, as shown here.
