SETTINGS MENU (Capture Mode)
Press the Menu button (15) to enter the two main menus: “Still” menu and “Setup” menu.
The following settings are available in the “Still” menu: Scene, Image Size, Anti-Shake,
Face Detect, Smile Capture, Continue Shot, Capture Mode and White Balance.
Changing the settings
1. Turn on the camera.
2. Press the Menu button (15). The “Still” menu is automatically selected.
3. Use the Up/Display (10) and Down/Mode (14) buttons to select a setting.
4. Press the OK button (12) to enter the sub-menu.
5. Use the Up/Display (10) and Down/Mode (14) buttons to select an item.
6. Press the OK button (12) to confirm the setting.
7. Press the Left/Self-timer (16) button to exit the submenu and press it again to exit the
menu. Press on the Menu button to close the menu and go back to the capture mode.
“Still” Menu
1. Scene
Sets appropriate option to match picture taking scene: [Auto]/ [Night Portrait]/ [Night
Scenery]/ [Portrait]/ [Scenery]/ [Sport]/ [Party]/ [Beach]/ [High Sensitivity].
2. Image Size
There are seven options: [4000x3000] (12M)/ [3456x2592] (9M)/ [2592x1944] (5M)/
[2048x1536] (3M/ [1600x1200] (2M)/ [1280x960] (1M)/ [640x480] (VGA).
3. Anti-Shake
Sets the anti-shake option to prevent blur caused by photo capturing: [On]/ [Off].
4. Face Detect
Camera detects a person’s face: [On]/ [Off].
5. Smile Capture
Camera detects a person’s smile: [On]/ [Off].
6. Continue Shot
Please refer to the “Taking a photo (Continuous shooting)” section page 21.
7. Capture Mode
Please refer to the “Taking a picture/Self-timer” section page 21.
8. White Balance
Adjusts the colour according to your light source: [Auto]/ [Daylight]/ [Cloudy]/
[incandescent]/ [Fluorescent].
“Setup” Menu
For more information about the “Setup” Menu, please consult the “Setup Menu” section.
4. Use the Up/Self-timer (10) and Down/Mode (14) buttons to select the desired time and
press OK (12) to confirm.
5. Press the Left/Selt-timer button (16) to exit the submenu. Press the Menu button (15) to
close the menu and go back to capture mode.
Note:
You can also press directly the Left/Self-timer button (16) repeatedly to select a
countdown time of 2 seconds , 5 seconds or 10 seconds . To turn off the self-
timer, press the Left/Self-timer button (16) repeatedly until the self-timer icons disappear
from the LCD screen.
Playing pictures (Playback)
1. Switch on the camera and press the Playback button (9) to enter the Playback mode
.
2. Use the Left/Self-timer button (16) or Right/Flash (11) buttons to display and scroll the
pictures taken.
3. Press the Zoom Out button (8) to allow all files to be viewed in thumbnail mode. Use
the Up/Display (10) and Down/Mode (14) or Left/Self-timer (16) and Right/Flash (11)
buttons to move the red outline between thumbnail files and press the OK button (12) to
select your picture and view it in full screen.
4. To exit the playback mode, press the Playback button (9) at any time.
Deleting pictures
1. To delete pictures, enter Playback mode by pressing the playback button (9). Press the
Menu button (15) to enter the menu mode. Use the Up/Display (10) and Down/Mode (14)
buttons to select the delete mode.
2. Press the OK button (12) to enter the delete mode.
3. Use the Up (10) and Down (14) buttons to scroll through the 3 options:
- “This Image” – to delete the picture showing on the LCD screen.
- “All” – to delete all pictures.
- “Cancel” – to cancel and exit.
4. Select the desired option and press OK button (12).
5. Use the Up/Display (10) or Down/Mode (14) button to confirm your choice “Cancel” or
“OK” and press OK button (12).
Note:
Press the Delete button directly to delete the current photo in display.
