Press and hold the Power button (2) to turn the camera on. When you turn the camera
on, the red Power LED indicator (6) illuminates. You can hear a beep sound and the LCD
screen lights up to confirm the camera is ready for use.
Press the Power button (2) once more to turn the camera off. A beep will sound and the
screen will go blank.
Note:
To save battery power, the camera will auto standby after a period of inactivity (30
seconds approximately). Press the Power button (2) to reactivate the camera. You can
change the auto power-off time by setting the function “Auto Power Off” (see the “Setup”
section).
INSTALLING A MEMORY CARD
To store more pictures, you need to insert an SD card (not included) into your digital
camera so you can save your files.
To insert the memory card:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Open the mini USB/SD card/battery compartment by pulling the latch down. Insert the
SD card carefully in the SD card slot, next to the battery compartment and push firmly
until the card is securely locked.
3. Turn the camera on. The memory card icon “SD” should be visible on the LCD screen.
4. To remove the card, push it in slightly to release it from the slot.
Notes:
• Keep the SD card in “unlock” status before using.
• Always turn the camera off when you insert or remove an SD card.
• We recommend that you purchase a good quality SD card.
WARNING:
Mal-function or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency interference
or electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, remove the batteries and
insert them again.
WARNING:
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace with same or
equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to the
manufacturer`s instructions or locals laws.
INSERTING AND CHARGING BATTERIES
Note:
Before using the camera for the first time, please remove the protective film of the
camera’s LCD screen.
To insert the battery:
1. Make sure the camera is off.
2. Open the battery door.
3. Insert 1 x 3.7V
BL-5B Li-ion rechargeable battery (included). The battery
has gold contacts on one end; this is the end that should be inserted first into the
battery compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment.
5. To remove the battery, tilt the battery lock to the left to release the battery from the
compartment.
Note:
When the low battery icon
appears on the LCD screen, recharge or replace
the batteries.
To recharge the battery:
1. Turn the camera off.
2. Connect the USB cable to your camera (5 pin) and computer (4 pin). The computer
must be turned on.
3. Charging starts when the Power/LED charge indicator (10) turns red. The charge
indicator light turns off when the camera has been charged.
4. When the battery icon is full, you can unplug the USB cable and start using the camera
as normal.
Note:
• It is normal for the camera to feel warm during charging.
• We recommend that the battery is recharged only when it is empty.
The lithium battery is intended for use only with this product. Do not disassemble the battery.
Do not dispose of the battery in fire or water. To avoid risk of fire, burns, or damage to your
battery, do not allow a metal object to touch the battery contacts. Handle a damaged or leaking
battery with extreme care. If it contacts the eye, flush the eye with water for 15 minutes and seek
medical attention. Do not charge the lithium battery pack if the ambient temperature exceeds
45°C (113°F). To obtain a replacement battery, contact your local dealer. Do not expose the
battery to high storage temperatures (above 60°C, 140°F). When disposing of the device,
please make sure to remove the rechargeable battery from the equipment and dispose of it
properly. When discarding a battery pack, contact your local waste disposal provider regarding
local restrictions on the disposal or recycling of batteries. Only use the supplied USB cable for
charging. Remove the battery if you are not going to use the product for a long period of time.
