NETCONF Overview

NETCONF

 

provides

 

a

 

method

 

to

 

quickly

 

configure

 

the

 

switch.

 

It

 

also

 

allows

 

you

 

to

 

implement

 

a

 

configuration

 

across

 

multiple

 

switches,

 

thereby

 

saving

 

time

 

and

 

reducing

 

the

 

chances

 

of

 

configuration

 

errors.

The

 

NETCONF

 

protocol

 

defines

 

basic

 

operations

 

that

 

are

 

equivalent

 

to

 

the

 

switch

 

ISCLI

 

commands.

Note:

The

 

current

 

implementation

 

of

 

NETCONF

 

supports

 

only

 

ISCLI

 

commands.

NETCONF

 

is

 

a

 

connection

oriented

 

protocol.
