NE2552E Application Guide for ENOS 8.4

SIOM Feature Considerations

SIOM

has

two

aspects

which

must

accomplished

the

switch:



The

provisioning

process

which

supplies

all

the

necessary

settings

for

the

secure

Ethernet

connection

for

management

and

for

the

secure

protocols

enabled

the

switch.



The

protocols

enabled

during

the

functioning

switch

SIOM.

Switch

boots

with

all

operational

(data)

ports

disabled.

Although

the

management

ports

are

enabled,

they

can

used

admin

set

the

switch

until

the

configuration

applied.

Internal

management

port

used

the

CMM

during

the

provisioning

exchange

information

with

IOM.

the

end

provisioning,

when

SIOM

enabled,

the

rest

the

operational

ports

come

and

the

switch

will

fully

functional.

When

SIOM

mode,

the

PKI

system

switch

cannot

controlled.

The

user

cannot

import

his

own

certificate.

All

certificates

are

provisioned

CMM.
