Figure 57. Front VGA assembly installation

After installing front VGA assembly, complete the following steps:

1.  Reinstall the fan cage (see 

“Install the fan cage assembly” on page 61

) 

2.  Reinstall the top cover (see 

“Install the top cover” on page 134

).

3.  Reconnect the power cords and any cables that you removed.
4.  Power on the server and any peripheral devices.

LOM adapter replacement

Use the following procedures to remove and install the LOM adapter.

Remove the LOM adapter

Use this procedure to remove the LOM adapter.

Before removing the LOM adapter:

1.  Read the safety information and installation guidelines (see 

“Safety” on page iii

and 

“Installation 

Guidelines” on page 49

).

2.  Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables (see 

“Power off the server” on page 11

).

3.  If the server is installed in a rack, slide the server out on its rack slide rails to gain access to the top 

cover, or remove the server from the rack.

5.  Remove the top cover (see 

“Remove the top cover” on page 133

).

To remove the LOM adapter, complete the following steps:

Step 1.  Loosen the captive thumbscrew.
Step 2.  Open the retention latch.
Step 3.  Remove the screw that fixes the LOM adapter.
