BEFORE YOU BEGIN MEASURING

4.1

Turning the Instrument On and Off

●

Connecting the AC Adapter

Connect the included AC adapter to DC INPUT on the rear panel.

When the LV 5837/LV 5838 is connected to the AC adapter, some power is consumed even

if the power switch is turned off. If you do not intend to use the LV 5837/LV 5838 for an

extended period of time, disconnect the AC adapter.

●

Turning the Power On

To turn on the power, press the power switch. The power LED lights, and the instrument

turns ON. When you turn ON the power, the LV 5837/LV 5838 starts up with the same

panel settings that were set when it was last turned OFF.

●

Turning the Power Off

To turn off the power, hold down the power switch. The power LED and the instrument turn

OFF.
