Marker
First, install and enable the Time History option (831C-ELA) on your
meter. When a marker is initiated, the output is activated for the
Recording Time as indicated in the setup.
9.13.1 Choosing Heater Options
If a heater is detected as part of a preamp, select your preference for
the heater Control :
•
Enabled
: The heater automatically turns on or off according to
the humidity and ambient temperature as shown in Figure 9-10 .
We recommend using this setting.

• Timer : Turns the heater on and off automatically according to
the Start Time (24-hr time) and End Time (24-hr time) you set
here.
• Off : The heater remains off.
9.14 Setting Reference Spectra
When you view the normalize octave band data, you have the option to
choose a negative or positive A or C weighting, or you can define up to 4
unique reference spectra. You can view these references in the Live
view (see 4.1.4 About the Normalized Octave Band Page (Live Page
4) ), the Overall view (see 4.2.5 About the Normalized Octave Band
Page (Overall Page 5) ), and in the Overall OBA page. See 4.2.4 About
the Octave Band Analyzer Page (Overall Page 4) .
