Creating a Measurement Setup
T
he 831C makes measurements based on values indicated in a setup
file (Setup). Setups are created, edited, and deleted on the Setup
Manager tab. This module describes using the Setup Manager on the
831C and in G4, and how to create a custom Setup.
To make a variety of measurements for your specific task, define the
properties of a Setup, including the following values:

Highlight the Setup you
want to view or edit on
the Setup Manager tab,
then use the top-left and
top-right softkeys to
access other the settings
tabs. Navigate back to
the Setup Manager tab to
save your changes.
The
Default
setup, when
Set to Active
, restores all
active properties to factory
default values. The
Default
is a read-only file and can’t
be edited or deleted.
Shows the current
Setup.
