Installing LD Atlas for Mobile Devices
The LD Atlas app is available for Android from the Google Play
Store

, or for iOS from the Apple App Store .

Open the app store on your mobile device.

Search for “LD Atlas” and follow the prompts.
Step 2
Make a Bluetooth, WiFi, or other connection to your mobile device. For
more information, see
Module 13 831C Network and Connections
.
Step 3
Launch LD Atlas on your mobile device, then select your active meter in
the meters panel.
3. .3 Operating the 31C from a eb Browser
We recommend using LD Atlas, but if needed you can operate your
meter remotely by using a web browser.
Step 1
With the 831C, make a secure connection to the Internet. For more
information, see
Module 13 831C Network and Connections
.
Step 2
Open a web browser on a mobile device or PC. We recommend using
Chrome.
Step 3
In the address field, type the IP address of your 831C Sound Advisor.

: 198.999.103.25/SoundAdvisor

Step 4
Navigate the interface in the browser just as you would from the meter.
3.8 Long Term Storage of 831C
CAUTION
DO NOT use the hard
-
ware power switch to turn the
831C OFF. Permanent damage
and data loss may occur.
Press the
Power
button once,
then select
Off
.
The Hardware Power Switch on the bottom of the 831C disconnects the
batteries from the 831C hardware (For reference, see
Figure -
. The
real-time clock maintains its value while the switch is off. The power
switch prevents battery drain when the meter is not in use for an
extended period of time. If you plan to store the meter for more than 2
weeks, remove the batteries.
