2. Press and hold the remote control’s component
button (for example, TV).
3. At the same time, press the MUTE button for two
seconds.
4. Release both buttons.
The component button should light and remain
lit. If it doesn’t remain lit, follow Steps 2 through
4 above.
5. Using the remote control’s numeric keypad, enter
a device code.
6. After entering a code, press the remote control’s
POWER button to test it. The correct code will
turn the component on and off. If several codes
are listed for the component’s type and brand, try
each of them until you find the code that turns
the component on/off. If none of these codes
work, try the code scanning method described on
page 4.9.
7. Press the component button again to lock in the
code (in this example, the TV button).
