Accessing Server Diagnostics
via the Console Port
The TracNet server’s console port allows you to connect a PC to
the server to perform system diagnostics. The PC must have a
RS-232 serial communications port and Windows HyperTerminal
installed.
1. Connect one end of the supplied console cable to
the console port on the rear of the server. Connect
the other end to the serial port on your PC.

2. Open HyperTerminal and establish the following
settings:
•
Bits per second: 9600
•
Data bits: 8
•
Parity: None
•
Stop bits: 1
•
Flow control: None
3. Turn on the server and allow the TracNet system
to boot up.
4. Press the Enter button on your PC until the “login
as:” prompt appears.
5. At the “login as:” prompt, enter
tencart
.
6. At the “password:” prompt, enter
k1v2h3
. This
brings up the TracNet Console menu.
