Checking Your IP Addresses
To view your IP addresses, follow the steps below.
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/NT
1. a.
Windows 98/ME:
From the Start menu, select the Run function. Then
type
command
in the text box and press Enter.
b.
Windows 2000/XP/NT:
From the Accessories folder, select the Command
Prompt.
2. At the prompt, type
ipconfig/all
then press Enter.
Your local computer’s IP address = “IP Address”
The TracNet server’s IP address = “DHCP Server”

3. If you wish to reset your networked computer’s IP
address, enter the
ipconfig/renew
command. This
command allows the TracNet DHCP server to
clear and renew your computer’s IP address so
that it can recognize the TracNet server on the
network. Then re-enter the
ipconfig/all
command
to view the new IP address.
