1. From the System Preferences folder, click the
Network
icon.
2. Select
Built-in Ethernet
from the Show drop-down
menu.

Verify that both your local computer’s IP address and the
TracNet server’s IP address start with 192.168 (and that both are
not blank).
If your local computer’s IP address does not start with
192.168
(or is blank), but the TracNet server’s IP address starts with
192.168
, simply restart the local computer. If the problem persists,
follow the steps in
“Manually Configuring the Network” on
page 46.
If the TracNet server’s IP address does not start with
192.168
(or
is blank), follow the steps in
“Resetting and Testing the Network
Connection” on the next page.
