Central gearbox and side gearboxes :
Oil must be changed after the first 10 hours and thereafter every 100 hours
(drain plug V). Use SHELL SPIRAX SAE 90 EP oil and fill through filler plugs (S) to the oil level plugs (N) (photos
35 and 36).
Capacity : - Central gearbox :
3.75 litres (photo 35)
- Side gearboxes :
5.00 litres (photo 36)
Check oil level once a week.
Rotor gear casings :
Filled for life with SHELL ALVANIA WRO grease.
Capacity : - HR 5002 DR / 5002 DR - S = 20 kg (44 lbs) in each
- HR 6002 DR / 6002 DR - S = 23 kg (50 lbs) in each.

Grease the following after every 20 working
hours :
- the bearings (4 grease nipples) (G) (photo 37) at the
two ends of the rollers with SHELL Multi-Purpose
grease NLGI grade 2 until grease is expelled between
the bearing housing and the rotating deflector,
- the cylinder ball joints (2 grease zerks) (G) (photo
33),
- the pivot points of the foldable harrow halves (4
grease zerks) (G) (photo 33).
