c) Maintenance of the linkage
Periodically grease the different pivot points equipped with grease nipples.
When parking the combined unit (harrow / seed drill, for example) make sure that the additional implement is
lowered first.
NOTE :
The central gearbox and the two side gearboxes of the power harrow are fitted with a rear PTO shaft (P)
(photo 26) which rotates in the same direction and at the same speed (rotational frequency) as the tractor
PTO. This rear PTO shaft must not be used to transmit more than 37 kW / 50 hp.
This rear PTO shafts of the side gearboxes should not be used with the gears disengaged (neutral
position) when driving a combined implement (this could damage the gearboxes due to lack
of lubrication).
For better illustration of photo 26, guard of rear PTO shaft (P) has been removed. However,
it must always be installed when the rear PTO shaft is not used.
There are two adhesive safety decals (Q) and (F) on the 3-point frame as shown in photo 26. Their aim is to contribute
to your safety and the safety of the people working with you. Check their location and read them carefully. Always
keep the decals clean and legible ; replace them if they are not.
