MAINTENANCE
BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY OPERATION SUCH AS MAINTENANCE OR ADJUSTMENT ON
THE MACHINE, STOP THE TRACTOR ENGINE, REMOVE IGNITION KEY AND WAIT FOR
ROTATING PARTS TO STOP BEFORE LEAVING THE TRACTOR.
1) LUBRICATION
Primary PTO shaft (fig. 32) :
Grease the following parts every 8 hours with SHELL
Multi-Purpose grease NLGI grade 2 :
- the telescoping section of the PTO tubes (A), both
grease zerks on the U-joints (B) and both grease
zerks of the PTO shield cones (C).
Secondary PTO shafts (photos 33 and 34)
Grease the following parts every 8 hours of use with SHELL Multi-Purpose grease NLGI grade 2 :
- the telescoping section of the PTO tubes (A) and both grease zerks of the PTO shield cones (C).
Grease every 100 hours both grease zerks on the U-joints (B) . To acceed to the grease zerks (B), first remove
protection covers (P).
Remark : The telescopic tubes of the secondary PTO shafts are lubricated through grease zerk A (photo
33). To gain access to this grease zerk, slide the black collar (D) (photo 33) towards the outside
of the machine and rotate the PTO shaft to align the grease zerk with the oblong hole of the
outer guard tube.
Slide the black collar (D) back in the proper place when lubrication has been completed.
