Kit No 123 8510 for HR 5002 DR / 5002 DR-S ; Kit No 123 8370 for HR 6002 DR / 6002 DR-S
Mount lateral levelling bar holders (S and T) (HR 5002 DR / 5002 DR - S) (photos 24 and 24 A) or (U) (HR 6002
DR / 6002 DR - S) (photos 25 and 25 A) on the troughs using the original mounting screws. On HR 5002 DR / 5002
DR - S the front holders (S) (height 180mm) and the rear holders (T) (height 135 mm) are also fitted by means
of a hexagonal flange screw (H) (M 12 x 35) and a self-locking flange nut (M 12) (photos 24 and 24 A).
In addition, on the HR 5002 DR / 5002 DR - S remove the mounting brackets (A) of the side deflector springs to
install the front levelling bar holders (S). When reassembling, make sure to install the spacer washer (R) (diameter
13 x 35 x 7) between the trough and the mounting brackets (A) as shown in photo 24.
Each levelling bar (N) may be fitted to the front or the rear of the half power harrow. It can be adjusted for height
using its 2 mounting pins (K) (photos 25 and 25 A), for working in different soil conditions and working depths.
- Fitting the levelling bars to the front (photo 25)
This allows pre-levelling in difficult conditions and breaks up some of the larger, dry clods.
- Fitting the levelling bars to the rear (photo 25 A)
Fitting the levelling bars (N) to the rear of the machine is facilitated when the roller arms (B) are fitted in their rear-
most position (E', photo 9, page 17). The levelling bars at the rear improve the crumbling performance of the
machine on dry land. They also ensure correct functioning of the packer rollers on sandy land. However, it is
not recommended to fit the levelling bars at the rear of the machine in wet, sticky soil, or when there is a lot of
stone. Correct height is obtained when the levelling bars are hit by the flow of soil projected to the rear by the rotors.
Make sure there is enough clearance between their lower edge and the ground surface to allow soil to move towards
the rollers.Two handles facilitate use.
Always fit the levelling bars so that their angled edges face the front (towards the working
direction).
