[7] CHECK POINTS OF EVERY 400 HOURS

Changing Transmission Fluid

 CAUTION

To avoid personal injury :

• Allow engine to cool down sufficiently, oil can be hot and

can burn.

1. To drain the used oil, remove the drain plugs at the bottom of

the transmission case and both sides on the rear axle case and
drain the oil completely into the oil pan.

2. After draining, reinstall the drain plugs. Clean the transmission

strainer. Fill with new KUBOTA SUPER UDT fluid up to the
upper notch on the dipstick. After running the engine for a few
minutes, stop it and check the oil level again, add oil to
prescribed level. Properly dispose of used oil.

NOTE

• If oil level is low, do not run the engine.

IMPORTANT

• Do not operate the machine immediately after changing the

transmission fluid.
Run the engine at medium speed for a few minutes to
prevent damage to the transmission.

Cleaning Transmission Strainer

When changing the transmission fluid, disassemble and rinse

the strainer with nonflammable solvent to completely clean off
fillings.

When reassembling, be careful not to damage the parts.

NOTE

• Since the fine filings in the oil can damage the precision

component parts of the hydraulic system, the end of the
suction line is provided with an oil strainer.
