A1.4 Starting up for the first time with
self steer
Only a specialist workshop is permitted
to perform the initial start-up of self
steer.
• Assemble the hitch for ball attachment Ø80 (1)
Make certain the screw heads (2) are
pointing left.
• Remove the shipping retainer (3) on the right and left
sensor cylinders (4).
• For instructions on connecting the machine, refer to
chapter „Connecting the hitch for ball attachment Ø80
to tractor-side ball coupling Ø80“
• Align the tractor and attachment on a level surface
• Adjust the sensor cylinder (4) to the same length
(dimension X must be exactly the same on the right
and left).
To do this:
• Disconnect the hitch for ball attachment Ø50
• Adjust the length of the track rod (5) by loosening the
screw coupling (6)
• Tighten the screw coupling (6)
• Connect the hitch for ball attachment Ø50 to the
tractor-side ball coupling Ø50 and secure it in place.
• Move the tractor and attachment forward a little and
check dimension X
Make certain all wheels are standing
straight. If they are not, the wheels
must be aligned.
To do this:
• Open shut-off valves (4,5)
• Move the tractor and attachment straight forward
until the wheels have straightened out.
• Close shut-off valves (4,5)
The machine must only be placed in use
with the shut-off valves closed (in a hori-
zontal position)
After the machine is connected to the tractor, drive the
tractor in all the way until a dimension
X= 235 mm
is
reached on the sensor cylinders (4). In this position the
tractor wheels should just be touching the start-up guard
(1). If they are not, attach the extensions included with
delivery.
Only specialist workshops are
permitted to adjust the start-up guards (1)
to the tractor. Each time the tractor
changes, the adjustment of the start-up
guards (1) must be checked and changed
as necessary.
