7.9 Chain tension
7.9.1 Pick-up drive unit
7.8.3 Scraper-floor drive unit
The scraper-floor drive unit is located at the rear on the
right hand side.
Oil inspection:
• Remove check screw (1)
• Oil level up to bore hole (1)
• If necessary, top up oil (SAE 90), fit
check screw (1)
Oil change:
• Unscrew the oil draining screw (2)
• Collect the used oil in a suitable collection vessel.
• Fit oil draining screw (2)
• Fill oil (1) (Oil level up to bore hole (1))

To correct the chain tension
Increase or reduce the compression spring (1) until distance a= 80 – 85 mm.
Additionally check dimension a
Note
If dimension b = 125 mm on the chain tension, the lower chain tightener (2) must be
retightened
.
Tighten the lower chain tightener (2).
To do this:
• Remove the guard (3)
• Loosen nut (4)
• Move the chain tightener (2) down in the oblong hole.
If the end of the oblong hole is reached, the chain (5)
must be shortened
• Tighten nut (4)
• Install the guard (3)
Note
Measured up to the top of the washer
Check the chain tension
Spring length under tension a = 80 - 85 mm
