Maintenance

7.9.2 Scraper-floor advance (up to machine

no.761 732)

The scraper floor of the loading wagon is tensioned
automatically. The operation of the tensioning device
must be checked regularly.

After long periods of operation, the
scraper-floor chain may strech so that
automatic tensioning is no longer
guaranteed. In this case, the chain must
be shortened by 2 or 4 links.

The tension spring (3) is under high tension!
Repair work on the automatic tensioning
device must only be carried out by specialists
using an assembly tool which is suitable for
the purpose.

To remove chain links proceed as follows:

• Hook in spring tensioner (2) and use a nut to drive

out spindle (1) until bolt (5) can be removed.

• Drive out the spindle to release tension spring (3)

totally.

• Using an M16x170 bolt (4), tension the scraper floor

until it becomes possible to slide checking wedge (6)
over the toothing against the direction of tension and
introduce a bolt through hole (7). Remove bolt (4)
again.
