3.7 Connection of solar module
Solar module connections
Note the following before connecting the DC plugs:
n
Check for the correct planning and wiring of the
modules and then measure the DC idling voltage for
plausibility.
n
In order to ensure an optimal layout of the solar
modules and the highest possible yields, the system
should be designed within the voltage range between
V
MPPmin
and V
MPPmax
. KOSTAL Solar Plan should be
used as a planning tool here.
n
If the output of the solar modules is higher than that
specified in the technical data, it must be ensured
that the working point is still within the MPP voltage
range of the inverter.
n
The types of solar module used, the number of solar
modules and their orientation, should be the same
for all PV strings. This avoids loss of earnings.
n
The following DC inputs are connected in parallel
internally in the inverter and are each shown as a
string in the inverter menu and in the Webserver.

The connected power in the Technical Data always
refers to one string. However, since two strings are
always connected in parallel, the power (e.g. of
DC1/DC2) may be split differently over the strings
(e.g. 13/13 or even 20/6).
WARNING
RISK OF FIRE DUE TO IMPROPER
INSTALLATION!
Incorrectly fitted plugs and
sockets may heat up and cause
a fire. During installation, be sure
to follow the manufacturer's
requirements and manual. Properly
mount plugs and sockets.
WARNING
SERIOUS BURNS DUE TO ARCS
ON THE DC SIDE!
DC cables must never be connect-
ed to or disconnected from the
device during operation, as danger-
ous arcs may form. De-energise DC
side, then mount or remove plug
connector!
WARNING
INJURIES CAN RESULT FROM
DESTRUCTION OF THE DEVICE!
When the maximum values for the
permitted input voltage at the DC
inputs are exceeded, this can result
in serious damage, which may de-
stroy the device and cause serious
injury to any person present. Even
briefly exceeding the voltage can
cause damage to thedevice.
