Replacing RS485 overvoltage protection
1.
Remove the cables from the RS485 overvoltage
protection module.
2.
Remove the defective RS485 overvoltage protec-
tion module from the communication cables for the
RS485.
3.
Install the new RS485 overvoltage protection mod-
ule. Connect the module to the retaining plate
intended for this purpose. The module is designed
for fastening top-hat rails. Plug the communication
cables into the module.

INFO
Note the manufacturer's installation
and assembly instructions for the
overvoltage protection.
The following types are approved for
the overvoltage protection and can
be ordered from the KOSTAL online
shop:
RS485 connection:
1 x DCO SD2 ME (RS485) (10330764)
Problems in communication with the
inverter indicate a defective module.
The inverter does not monitor the
module.
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION
If incorrectly assembled, the
screws securing the cover may
seize and destroy the thread inside
the housing. Tighten the cover
screws crosswise and do not fully
tighten them immediately. This will
make the cover more centred on
the housing and prevent the screws
inside the housing from seizing.
INFO
Monitoring of the overvoltage protec-
tion modules for AC and DC must be
activated in the inverter by going to
Overvoltage protection in the Service
menu.
