CLEANING AND INSPECTION OF THE RADIATOR FINS, OIL COOLER, FINAL COOLER,
FUEL AND AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER COOLER
4
WARNING
If compressed air, steam or water are directed on a person they can cause injuries.
Always wear safety glasses and gloves.
NOTICE
q
When using compressed air, always keep the nozzle at a safety distance, in order to avoid damaging
the fins. If the fins are damaged, they may cause water leakages or overheating.
q
Do not use products containing even a slight quantity of oily substances, since these facilitate the
adhesion of dust, which affects the heat exchange adversely.
q
Carry out this cleaning operation whenever the radiator, the condenser or the heat exchanger are
accidentally dirtied with oil, diesel oil or greasy or oily substances.
q
If the machine is used in dusty places, clean the radiator, the condenser and the heat exchanger more
frequently, in order to prevent the fins from clogging.
1.
Open the engine bonnet and the battery inspection cover.
2.
Remove the screws at fin (1) and remove the net (2).
3.
Clean the net (2).
4.
Check the rear and front surfaces of the fins of the oil
cooler (3), radiator (4), final cooler (5), condenser of air
conditioner (6) and the fuel cooler (7). If the fins are dirty
with mud, dirt or leaves, clean with compressed air.
It is possible to use steam or water instead of compressed
air. However, when the cleaning is performed at hot
exchange with a powerful stem jet (machine at high
pressure), keep a certain distance from the machine. If the
steam jet is too close, there is risk that the inner fins of this
equipment gets quickly deformed, blocked or broken.
5.
Check the connection hoses. Replace them with new
hoses, if they are cracked or hardened.
Make sure the hose clamps are tightened well.
6.
At the end of the inspection and cleaning operations, install
the net (2) in its original position.
