BLEEDING THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
4
For further details, see "Starting the engine (3-130)". If it is necessary to refer to the engine starting operations, to
the machine steering or stopping procedure, see section "FUNCTIONING".
Bleeding the pump
NOTICE
If the pump is operated without filling it with hydraulic oil,
it may be damaged. Make sure that the bleeding operation
has been completed.
1.
Open the pump compartment door on the rear right hand
side of the machine.
2.
Loosen the bleed plug (1) and make sure that the oil flows
without any traces of air bubbles.
3.
After having completed the operation, tighten the plug (1).
Bleeding the air between the pump and the hydraulic tank
NOTICE
If the engine runs at high speed and the air between the
pump and the hydraulic tank has not been bled, an
anomalous generation of heat will take place and this may
damage the pump.
1.
Start the engine and keep it running at average speed
(1650 rpm). For further details, see "Starting the engine (3-
130)".
2.
Operate the work equipment slowly for approximately 5
minutes, in such a way as to bleed the circuit.
Bleeding the cylinders
NOTICE
If the engine runs at high speed soon after starting or a
cylinder is brought to the end of stroke, the air that enters
the cylinder may damage the sealing gaskets.
1.
Run the engine at an intermediate speed (1650 rpm) and
extend and retract each cylinder 4 or 5 times, paying
attention so as not to take it to the end of stroke (stop the
cylinders about 100 mm away from the end of stroke).
2.
Operate each cylinder 3-4 times, reaching the end of
stroke.
3.
Operate each cylinder 4-5 times reaching the end of stroke
to eliminate the air completely.
