VRS Installation Guide

Install the Scanning Application

Use the procedure in this section to install the scanning application that you plan to
use with VRS.

Note

If desired, you can perform low-volume scanning with Kofax VCDemo or Scan

Demo, the ImageControls-based demonstration scanning applications that are
included with every VRS installation. For more information about VCDemo, refer to
Appendix C,

Using VCDemo

on page 91.

To install the scanning application

Install your ImageControls-based, TWAIN, or ISIS scanning application
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Scan some sample documents to ensure that the application is working
properly.

Note

If you are installing an ImageControls-based application in conjunction

with other Kofax products, refer to “Installation Scenarios” on page 9.
