Checking the Seat Belt Condition and Security
WARNING
When a seat belt is fitted to your machine replace it with a new one if it is
damaged, if the fabric is worn, or if the machine has been in an accident. Fit
a new seat belt every three years.
Inspect the seat belt for signs of fraying and stretching. Check that the stitching is not
loose or damaged. Check that the buckle assembly is undamaged and works correctly.
Check that the belt mounting bolts are undamaged, correctly fitted and tightened.
ROPS Structure
Checking the ROPS Structure
WARNING
If the machine is fitted with a Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS) and a
Falling Objects Protection Structure (FOPS). You could be killed or seriously
injured if you operate the machine with a damaged or missing ROPS/FOPS. If
the ROPS/FOPS has been in an accident, do not use the machine until the structure has
been renewed. Modifications and repairs that are not approved by the manufacturer may
be dangerous and will invalidate the ROPS/FOPS certification.
For assistance, contact your KNEGT distributor. Failure to take these precautions could
result in death or injury to the operator.
Check the structure for damage. Check that the mounting bolts are installed, undamaged
and tight.
Greasing
You must grease the machine regularly to keep it working efficiently. Regular greasing
will also lengthen the machine's working life.
The machine must always be greased after pressure washing or steam cleaning.
WARNING
You will be working close into the machine for these jobs. Lower the
attachments if possible. Remove the starter key and disconnect the battery.
This will prevent the engine being started. Make sure the park brake is
engaged.
Block all four wheels before getting under the machine.
Greasing should be done with a grease gun. Normally two strokes of the gun should be
enough. Stop greasing when fresh grease appears at the joint.
For the types of grease to use at each point, Do not mix different types of grease, keep
them separate.
Note: Some optional attachments may need greasing more often.
Grease the machine at the points shown every 50 hours.
