When moving the machine, keep it under control at all times. Stay alert for
obstructions and possible hazards.
Moving Off
Check your seat
1.
Make sure that the seat is secure and correctly adjusted. Make sure your seat belt is
fastened and the steering wheel is correctly adjusted.
3.
If an implement is attached to the machine, use the hydraulic position control
lever and raise the implement.
4.
Depress the clutch pedal.
5.
Move the Machine
Select the required speed range with the range shift lever.
Select the required direction, forward or reverse, with the forward/reverse
lever.
Depress the brake pedal and using the park brake lever, release the park brake.
Increase the engine speed with the foot operated
accelerator and release
the clutch smoothly.
Note:
The range shift lever can only be shifted when the machine is stationary.
Note:
Do not ‘ride’ the clutch to control the speed, use a lower gear.
Note:
Always connect the brake pedals together when travelling on the road.
Moving Off on a Steep Slope
1 With the brake pedals connected together, depress the brake pedal and depress
the clutch.
2 Set all gear levers to LOW and the hand throttle lever to medium engine speed.
3 Release the clutch and as it engages, release the brake pedal.
4 Depress the relevant speed control pedal slowly.
5 Adjust the hand throttle lever to the required engine speed.
Note:
Operation of the foot operated accelerator will override the setting of the hand
operated throttle lever.
Driving Downhill
Use the engine's ability to brake when travelling downhill. Never rely on the brakes
only and never travel downhill with the gears in neutral.
Differential Lock
Do not use the differential lock at high speed or on the road.
Use the differential lock when wheel slippage is encountered.
When travelling with the differential lock engaged the machine will be difficult to turn,
ensure you disengage the differential lock before turning the steering wheel.
