TUNING

Prior

tuning

the

second

stage,

ce

clockwise

with

very

small

frac ons

of

a

turn,

just

un l

air

fl

ow

is

no

longer

present,

and

pause

to

listen

carefully

for

air

fl

ow

or

leakage

a er

each

adjustment.

Adjust

the

ori

fi

ce

(3)

as

required

to

achieve

the

desired

opening

e

ﬀ

ort.

NOTE:

Turning

the

ORIFICE

(3)

further

than

necessary

to

stop

air

fl

ow

will

result

in

LEVER

slack

and

excessive

spring

load

tension,

impairing

proper

performance.

CAUTION:

To

avoid

cu ng

the

POPPET

SEAT

4.

Hold

the

Second

Stage

with

the

mouthpiece

facing

directly

down,

and

gently

shake

it

up

and

down,

listening

carefully

for

any

ra le

that

may

be

present,

indica ng

lever

slack.

If

slack

is

indicated,

the

second

stage

must

be

disassembled

and

corrected.

5.

Purge

the

Regulator

of

all

air

to

remove

the

In

‐

Line

adjustment

tool,

and

connect

the

LP

hose

directly

onto

the

coupling

using

an

11/16"

open

end

wrench.

Tighten

to

a

torque

of

35

to

40

in

‐

lbs

‐

4.5

N

‐

m).

6.

Pressurize

the

Regulator

again

with

a

pure

air

source

of

3,000

PSI

BAR).

Inhale

lightly

through

the

mouthpiece

Air

should

ow

easily

and

smoothly,

without

any

hesita on

or

lag.

Clean

and

disinfect

the

mouthpiece
