Using the device for the first time
• Unwind the power cord completely and connect it to a grounded power outlet.
• Then fill in water (about 4-6 litres)
• Set the temperature control to MAX ° C
• Set the Timer Knob to 30 minutes and let it boil.
• When the set time is over, the device switches off automatically.
• Allow the unit to cool down and then empty the water.
• The device can now be used after this initial start-up / cleaning.
General/Switching the appliance on and off
• Adjust the temperature regulator (6) to the desired heating level.
• The indicator light (7) glows. When the set temperature has been reached, the temperature
indicator light (7)
goes out ,the indicator light (7) glows during operation when the
temperature falls below the set level and the fruit preserver needs to shortly re-heat itself
back up.
• When you wish to switch the appliance off, turn the temperature controller (6) to the position
OFF.
• Please always remove the plug from the wall power socket when the device is not in use.
Preserving
• Preserving is a method to preserve food without any chemical additives. The generated
heat kills off any germs in the food. At the same time, the bottling jar will be sealed in a
germfree and airtight way due to the vacuum which is generated.
• For sterilizing, allow the food to be preserved to heat up to at least 100 degrees C (212°F).
To pasteurize, heat it up to 80 degrees C (176°F). Pasteurizing is sufficient if the appliance
is used in the household. Please use suitable bottling jars with screw caps or locking caps
with rubber seal rings.
Preserving procedure:
• Please set the temperature controller to the desired temperature. (see cooking time table
below)
• Set the beep switch to 1. (see page 4 function graphics button “8”.
• Set the timer counter-clockwise to (“Con” = Continuous operation) The unit starts to heat.
• The indicator will now light up, indicating that the heater is active.
• As soon as the set temperature is reached, the beep signal sounds and the indicator light
goes off.
• The acoustic signal also indicates that now the cooking time should be selected according
to the table.
• Please manually turn off the beep switch (button 8) and then set the timer clockwise to the
desired boil-in time.
• The temperature is now precisely maintained, the signal light goes out, but it lights up again
from time to time when the temperature falls slightly. The heater then heats up again briefly
to the desired temperature). Precise temperature control is important for the quality of the
food to be cooked
• When the cooking time has expired, the appliance switches off automatically.
