2.7 Stroke limitation
This function is used to set up stroke limitation by run time
(in seconds). This function can only be used in the OPEN
direction and in combination with an active activation time.
An OPEN traverse is only possible when the drive is
completely closed (the activation time has finished).
Default setting: function deactivated.
2.8 Contact
(potential free contact)
The existing potential free contact (closing contact) can be
set to issue different status signals. The contact can thus
be used for a wind and rain WRM signal, as an OPEN or
CLOSED indicator or to issue a CLOSE command (e.g. for
sun protection). In the latter case the instructions for this
function in the section "Use of the sun protection function"
should be noted. The factory setting is a WRM signal output.
2.9 Superior output
Superior output is used for the serial connection of several
iVent 8A ventilation control panels and can be set up for the
following modes:
- Forward superior contact input: i.e. the input (OPEN and
CLOSE) is forwarded to the output on a one to one basis.
- Mastermode:
The iVent 8A serves as master for all dependent iVent 8A
ventilation control panels; this mode is subdivided into
further modes. Thus, for instance, it can be set so that the
signal (OPEN or CLOSE) is only issued during the actual
traverse (i.e. when the activation time or stroke limit is
reached the control signal is cancelled), or so that a
permanent signal is issued, with the result that individual
switch-off times can be set for the dependent iVent 8A
ventilation control panels.
For information about setting this up, see the section
"Serial connection of several iVent 8A ventilation control
panels". When supplied the mode is pre-set to "Forward
superior contact input".
2.10 Sun protection
This allows the superior LED input to be altered to a
"sun protection closed" signal (see section "Using the sun
protection function"). By default this function is not active,
so that the inlet is used for connecting the superior LED
output to a further iVent 8A ventilation control panel.
