Service Port Software
1. General information about Service Port Software
Additional parameters can be added to certain functions via the Service Port (PC interface) with the appropriate Service
Port configuration software* as well as a connecting cable*. The functions are dependent on the PC software version
and the ventilation control panel firmware.
To alter a configuration via the service port interface the service port connection cable must be connected to the iVent
8A and the PC. Before configuration, both the Service Port Software and also, where relevant, any further drive files for
the connection cable must be installed and working. See relevant software installation instructions. The iVent 8A should
be connected to mains voltage during configuration. From version 01.04.00 onwards the iVent can be configured via the
Service Port Software. Updates to the Service Port Software can be downloaded from www.STG-BEIKIRCH.de.
On starting the Service Port Software and clicking the
"
Search
“ button, the configuration screen is automatically
launched.
The existing configuration can be read by clicking the
“
Read
” button. The “
Write
” button can be used for output
of the amended parameters and configuration data.
When the iVent 8A is selected, information regarding
the possible presence of an internal failure is available.
It is possible to save the configuration as a file on the hard
drive or other location. To do this, select “
File
” from the
menu. Other option are loading a file or printing a report.
Once the configuration editing is finished, the connection
between “iVent <> PC” must be disconnected using the
“
Off
” button. After that the service Port Software can be
closed down and the connection cable disconnected.
