Serial connection of several iVent 8A ventilation control panels
Mastermode 1, 2 and 3
Instructions:
Each control command from the master ventilation control panel (iVent 8A 1) is forwarded to the subsequent control
panels as a superior signal. Sensors and vent switches can still be connected to the other ventilation control panels.
However, it should be noted that iVent 8A 1 must be configured to Mastermode at "Superior output". The WRM signal
does not need to be separately wired. Different Mastermodes can be selected, depending on the situation.
Setting the master control panel (iVent 8A 1)
Mastermode 1
Output always OPEN and CLOSED when the master control panel drive is opening and closing, i.e. the relevant outlet
is switched off during activation or when the stroke limit is reached. This mode can, for instance, be used to visualise
the operation. If this mode is used to control another iVent 8A ventilation control panel, the activation time of the master
control panel should be a minimum of 1 second longer than that of the slaves, otherwise the slaves will return the signal
"window open" following a CLOSE traverse. In this mode no other vent switches or similar items should be connected to
the slaves, since otherwise the stroke limit set for the master control panel will not bite. If vent switches are connected to
one or more slaves and a stroke limit is set, this stroke limit must be set for the relevant slaves and Mastermode 3 should
be selected for the master control panel.
Mastermode 2
Output of the Open and Closed run commands depends on master control panel inputs but does not depend on whether
the activation time has been reached. The stroke limitation function remains active. In this mode no other vent switches
or similar items should be connected to the slaves, since otherwise the stroke limit set for the master control panel will
not bite. If vent switches are connected to one or more slaves and a stroke limit is set, this stroke limit must be set for the
relevant slaves and Mastermode 3 should be selected for the master control panel.
Mastermode 3
Output of the OPEN and CLOSE run commands depends on master control panel inputs but does not depend on
whether the activation time or the stroke limit has been reached. All slaves can therefore be set up individually.
If the stroke limit is not set in the master control panel there is no difference between Mastermodes 2 and 3.
