Notes on cable cross-section calculation and cable routing
Simplified formula for cable cross-section calculation
(for drives up to 2.5 A nominal current draw)
Note
: Observe permissible current output, see technical data.
A = cable cross-section
I = sum of the nominal currents of the drives
*L = simple cable length
** 30 % = = loading factor for drives greater than or equal to 2.5 A current draw
73 = factors, made up from 2.5 V max. permissible voltage drop and
electrical conductivity of copper
Troubleshooting
Power unit does not work
- Check mains power supply / mains voltage.
- Check on site mains fuse.
- Fuse faulty
possible overload
replace fuse
- Fuse still faulty
power unit faulty
replace power unit.
Drives running in the wrong direction
- Check connection terminal A1/A2 and replace if necessary.
- Reverse connection at the vent switch.
Vent switch with reverse function
- Reverse connection at the vent switch.
Windows do not open
- Vent switch incorrectly connected.
- Check mains power supply/mains voltage.
- A wind and rain detector is connected.
- A superior control is connected.
- Manual/automatic selector switch in the "automatic" position.
