Serial connection of several iVent 8A ventilation control panels
Options without using the Service Port Software
3. Superior control with wind and rain detector and sensors
With this option a wind and rain detector WRM is connected to the first iVent 8A ventilation control panel in addition to
the above connection.
Master key switch
The closer contact "OPEN" is connected to Terminal 01 and 04 of the iVent 8A
1
connected. The closer contact
"CLOSED" is connected to Terminal 02 and 04 of the iVent 8A
1
connected. An optional indicator (LED) can be
connected between Terminal 03 (+27 V) and Terminal 04 (GND) of the iVent 8A
1
. This indicator is illuminated as soon
as one of the iVent 8A units transmits the "window open" signal.
Manual/automatic selector switch
The switch to auto mode takes place via the bridging (closer contact) between Terminals 25 and 26 of the
iVent 8A 1 ventilation control panel.
Sensor technology
Here different sensors (e.g. temperature sensor) can be interconnected externally; it should however be noted that one
circuit for opening the windows and one circuit for closing the windows must be connected externally.
Example:
At the sensor terminal points there is a supply voltage for the sensors for both the open and the closed directions,
Terminal 15 and 19 (+27 V) Terminals 16 and 20 (GND). In order to open, Terminals 13 and 14 of the iVent 8A
1
must be
bridged. In order to close, Terminals 17 and 18 of the iVent 8A
1
must be bridged.
Vent switch
The closer contact "OPEN" is connected to Terminal 09 and 12 of the iVent 8A
1
. The closer contact "CLOSED" is
connected to Terminal 10 and 12 of the iVent 8A
1
. An optional indicator (LED) can be connected between Terminal 03
(+27 V) and Terminal 04 (GND) of the iVent 8A
1
. This indicator is illuminated as soon as the iVent 8A
1
transmits the
"window open" signal.
Wind and rain detector WRM
The WRM is supplied with voltage via Terminals 23 (+27 V) and 24 (GND); the WRM switching contact is connected to
Terminals 21 and 22.
Drives
Drive 1 is connected to Terminals A1 and A2 of the iVent 8A
1
; there are two of these terminals for each
iVent 8A, so that two drives can be connected. The drive

is connected to the Terminals A1 and A2 of the iVent 8A
