Serial connection of several iVent 8A ventilation control panels
Options without using the Service Port Software
2. Superior control with wind and rain detector
With this option a wind and rain detector WRM is connected to the first iVent 8A ventilation control panel in addition to
the above connection.
Master key switch
The closer contact "OPEN" is connected to Terminal 01 and 04 of the iVent 8A
1
connected. The closer contact
"CLOSED" is connected to Terminal 02 and 04 of the iVent 8A
1
connected. An optional indicator (LED) can be
connected between Terminal 03 (+27 V) and Terminal 04 (GND) of the iVent 8A
1
. This indicator is illuminated as soon
as one of the iVent 8A units transmits the "window open" signal.
Vent switch
The closer contact "OPEN" is connected to Terminal 09 and 12 of the iVent 8A

. The closer contact "CLOSED" is
connected to Terminal 10 and 12 of the iVent 8A

Wind and rain detector WRM
The WRM is supplied with voltage via Terminals 23 (+27 V) and 24 (GND); the WRM switching contact is connected to
Terminals 21 and 22.

The functionality is as described in Section 1 "Two or more iVent 8A ventilation control panels with a common
master control" but extended to include a wind and rain detector WRM and the transmission of its signal. In addition each
ventilation control panel can be controlled on an individual basis via a vent switch and/or sensors. Control of the superior
switch is also possible. In the event of a wind or rain signal, however, the drives are closed independently of the other
sensor / switch positions. It should be noted that, in the configuration, "Outputs", "Signal outputs" and "Superior" should
be set to "Forward superior contact input" and that for "Outputs" and "Signal outputs" the "Contact" should be set to
"Signal if wind / rain". It can, of course, be just the WRM signal which is forwarded if no superior input is required. If so,
the cabling of Terminals 01 – 04 and 05 - 08 no longer applies.
