11.5.3 Updating via the network/satellite

The software can be updated via the network (Internet) or satellite, depending on whether the
receiver is connected to the network (Internet) or not. The menu item changes accordingly:

The menu item says
Software Update by Network
if the receiver is connected to the Internet.
The receiver searches the Internet for a new software version. If the Internet connection is
interrupted, the receiver continues the search using the satellite signal.
●
The menu item says
Software Update by Satellite
if the receiver is not connected to the Internet.
The receiver searches for a new software version using the satellite signal only.
Once the update has started, the message in Fig. 45 appears. If a new software version is avail-
able, a message similar to Fig. 46 appears.
Important
Risk of damage to property due to damaged operating software.
●
Do not switch the receiver off during the update; rather, wait until the automatic
reboot has been completed in full.
●
Follow all instructions contained in the receiver messages.
