EN 44
Proceed as follows to connect the gas cylinder:
●
Ensure that the regulators on the gas hob are closed.
●
Open the straps on the strap attachments (3) and place the gas cylinder in the compartment in an
upright position.
●
Align the gas cylinder in such a way that the connecting hose (2) easily reaches the gas cylinder
without tension or kinking.
●
Carefully screw the union nut of the connecting hose (2) onto the safety valve of the gas cylinder
by hand (without tools) until it cannot be turned any further.
●
Use the straps to fix the gas cylinder in place.
●
Open the safety valve on the gas cylinder. (Only if you will be using the gas hob afterwards!)
WARNING
Risk of fire/explosion!
●
When connecting or changing a gas cylinder, do not smoke or allow any open fire
nearby!
●
Always keep the gas cylinder compartment closed.
6.4
Replacing a gas cylinder
To replace an (empty) gas cylinder, please proceed as follows:
●
Close the safety valve on the gas cylinder to be changed.
●
Release the union nut on the connecting hose (2) by turning it clockwise.
●
Release the straps on the strap attachments (3).
●
Remove the empty (gas) cylinder.
6.5
Leak detector spray for checking the tightness of the
gas cylinder
We recommend using a
leak detector spray
to check the leak tightness of the connected gas cylinder.
Every time a gas cylinder is connected or changed, spray the
leak detector spray
onto the safety valve of
the gas cylinder, the connecting hose with the connecting points and onto the gas pressure regulator.
Any leaks resulting from emitted gas will then be indicated by bubbles forming.
Any areas identified in this way have to be remedied immediately.
WARNING
Explosion hazard!
●
Work on the gas system may be carried out only by a gas systems expert or an
authorised specialist workshop!
