nOTE: To prevent liquid entering the device, it should not be sprayed with the disinfectant.

nOTE: In order to preserve the conductivity of the contacts, you should never allow disinfectants to
come into contact with the connections on the front and back of the device. When the disinfectant
dries, residues can form which impair conductivity.
1. Use a disposable cloth moistened with disinfectant or a soaked ready-to-use disinfectant cloth.
2. Wipe-clean the exterior surfaces of the medical device.
3. Allow the disinfectant to take effect, observing the instructions of the disinfectant manufacturer.
4. At the end of the necessary exposure time, wipe the surfaces with a dry low lint cloth.

The BIOS battery is changed by KARL STORZ service staff.
5. 3. 3 Servicing
Defective device components must be serviced and repaired exclusively by persons authorized by
KARL STORZ; all repair work must employ original KARL STORZ parts only.
All service work must only be performed by KARL STORZ or by an authorized agent.
3 Warning No changes may be made to device without the manufacturer’s approval.
