Maintenance operations after working hours

Check the battery poles for oxidation.
O
Check the secure attachment of the battery connections.
O
Check the acid level of the batteries (only for low-
maintenance batteries).
O
Check the current-conducting cables and contacts for
damage and oxidation (visual inspection, E-cabinet and
visible cable).
O
Check the cable connections on the control electronics.
O
Measure the voltage of the battery cellswith the suction
turbine running ( U< 0,05 volts).
O
Check the driving operation: forwards, backwards.
O
Check the effect of the automatic parking brake on the
traction motor, replace brake if necessary (check manual
lifting lever function).
O
Test the functioning of the foot brake.
O
Test the steering pinion and toothed segment for play
and lubricate them. (Permitted play between toothed base
of the toothed segment and the toothed head of the steering
pinion must be between 1 mm and 2.5 mm.)
O
Test the functioning of the brush head: lower, raise.
O
Test the brushes for functionality and wear.
O
Test the brush level.
O
Test the wiping lips on the cleaning head. Test the
mobility of the wiping lips.
O
Check the settings of the brush contact pressure.
O
Test the drive belt of the brushes for tension and wear.
O
Check the Bowden cables for freedom of movement.
O
Check the screws for attaching the tyre on the traction
motor, retighten if necessary.
O
Check the suction lips for wear and check the settings.
O
Check the suction tube for water-tightness.
O
Check the water-tightness of the water system.
O
Check the cleaning agent dosing pump for functionality and
water-tightness.
O
Check the water-tightness of the tank cover.
O
Check the functioning of the water dosing valve
(drive backwards).
O
Check/clean the flat fold filter in the dirty water tank cover.
O
Check the function of the suction turbine/suction bar
(check the after-running time).
O
Check and clean the water filter (recycling option).
O
Check and clean the fresh water filter.
O
Check the fresh water/recycling water switching valve
(optional)
O
