GEARBOX CONTROL
Gear change in gearbox is performed with the
help of gearshift lever located to the right of driver’s seat.
Shift the lever with the clutch released. Depress the clutch
pedal against stop.
The gear engagement and change should be per-
formed at minimum idle speed.
Start motion only on the first gear (to prevent
premature clutch fail).
It is recommended to keep the gear shifter in the
neutral position for a short period of time. Don‘t throw
into the gear sharply when you feel resistance to shifter
moving. Smoothly increase pressure on the lever till the
synchronizer full engagement. If the gear fails to engage
at vehicle speeding up, once again release the clutch and
then again throw into gear.
To provide quick vehicle acceleration on a proper
road and in hard conditions, it is suggested to engage all
gears successively pursuant to gearshift scheme.

Upon the availability of splitter in gearbox , the
splitter control selector is built into gearshift lever handle
(see Fig.
Gearshift lever ). Selector may be shifted to high
«S» or low «L» splitter gear position. It is suggested to
use the whole range of low and high gears.
In order to shift from high gear to low one and vice
versa (without lever shifting), it is necessary to shift the
splitter control shifter to the required position, then de-
press and in a short time (1 sec.) delay release the clutch
pedal – the gear will be engaged automatically.
For simultaneous lever shifting and high or low
gear engagement, shift the splitter selector to position «S»
or «L», depress the clutch pedal and shift the lever
