(1) Adjusting the position of the clamps
Adjust the poston of the clamp only when you wsh
to elmnate a clearance between the clamps or you
wsh change the arrangement of the clamp.
1) If you wsh to elmnate a clearance between the
clamps, loosen screws

, remove screws

, and re-poston the clamps as you wsh. Then
fix the clamps wish the screws. (The clamps can
be attached to any of the nstallaton holes n
mountng base

Whenever you perform this adjust the
clamping force of the clamps referring to
“(2) Adjusting the clamping force”.
(2) Adjusting the clamping force
When adjustng the poston of the clamps or re-
placng the clamp cushon, perform the adjustment
below.
1) Place workpece

on the carrage as llustrated
in the figure, press and turn the manual switch
on solend valve

to actuate the clamp cyln-
der.
2) Loosen locknut

and turn adjustment screw

n the drecton of the arrow. Then clamp cushon

wll be rased.
3) Adjust up or down the heght of the clamp on the
left first and that on the right next, so that they
unformly clamp workpece

over the length.
4) Fnally, tghten the locknut and check that the
clampng force of the clamps does not change.
5) Return the manual swtch to ts home poston.
After the adjustment, be sure to return the
manual switch to its home position.
WARNING:
Turn OFF the power before starting the work so as to prevent accidents caused by abrupt start of
the sewing machine.
