7.3. Disassembly and disposal
1 ) Be particularly careful when proceeding to disassemble the heat pump or its electrical components
and subassemblies.
2 ) Disconnect the heat pump from the power supply before disassembling the unit.
3 ) After disconnecting the power supply, wait 90 seconds before opening the unit. Voltage may remain
on the frequency converter during this time.
4 ) After disconnecting the pump from the power supply, the refrigerant should be released from the
system in the open air.
5 ) Only persons familiar with the handling of R290 refrigerant may perform the task.
6 ) Use personal protective equipment and carry fire extinguishers.
7.4. Decommissioning the appliance
The decommissioning of electrical and electronic appliances should be conducted in accordance with the
current national law in which the appliance was being used.
