KEY SKILLS FOR QNANO OPERATION
The most common cause of system instability is incorrect pipetting technique.
Using the standard forward pipetting technique for dispensing liquid into
the fluid cells may introduce bubbles near the pore which can clog the pore
and disrupt the baseline current and particle rate. With reverse pipetting,
you draw out more fluid than you dispense, minimising the risk of introducing
bubbles into the fluid system.

Rotate the thumbwheel to
the correct volume.
Attach pipette tip by firmly
pressing the pipette down
into the top of a pipette tip
in the holder.
Depress the plunger to the
second stop.
Immerse the pipette tip into
the fluid.
Smoothly release the
plunger to the rest position.
Wipe the tip with a clean
tissue to remove any fluid
beaded on the outside
surface of the pipette tip
Place tip at an angle in the
fluid cell.
Smoothly depress plunger
to the first stop. Be careful
not to push down to the
second stop.
Release the plunger to rest
position.
Discard the pipette tip.
